The Spartans posted an ugly loss at Minnesota Saturday night.
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio was frank is his assessment of the Spartans after following a heartbreaking 42-34 loss at Minnesota Saturday night.
“It was a tough loss,” Dantonio said, “and we didn't play well enough to win.”
Michigan State fell behind 14-0 early in the first quarter but battled back to ultimately go ahead, 31-28, at the end of the third quarter. But Minnesota, despite the absence of star wide receiver Eric Decker, got 416 passing yards from quarterback Adam Weber and had an answer for every Michigan State surge.
