The name Snow is certainly a familiar one around East Lansing.
Percy Snow starred on the gridiron for the Spartans while his younger brother, Eric, starred as a point guard on the hardwood.
Senior Jewone Snow, the nephew of Percy and Eric, is one of the top linebackers in northeast Ohio. The Canton McKinley star has been a varsity starter since his freshman year.
The 6-foot-1 and 230-pound Jewone Snow is averaging over 10 tackles per game this season. In last weekend’s victory over Youngstown Boardman, Snow made 14 tackles.
Snow has already made official visits to Purdue and West Virginia. He does not have any other visits scheduled at this time.
“I’m still looking at West Virginia, Purdue, Michigan State, Indiana, Illinois and Pitt,” Snow said. “I don’t have a favorite.”
Snow said he is mainly in contact with Purdue and West Virginia at this point, though Michigan State is still in the picture.
“I talk to Michigan State once in awhile,” Snow said. “Michigan State calls, but I miss them.”
Snow said if the opportunity presents itself, he would be interested in making an official visit to Michigan State.
Kurelic’s Comment: At this point, Snow is not a priority recruit for the Spartans. Whether or not that changes remains to be seen, but my hunch is Snow won’t end up making a visit to Michigan State.
